I am Linda HANINIpilot EFK affiliated with theASK Villars 🏎️. This season 2024-2025 marks my very first year in competition!
Visit March 15, 2025I took part in my first race in France at the EFK regional meeting on the karting circuit Actua Lyon 🏁, under the aegis of the FFSA and Rhône-Alpes League. A day full of suspense and discoveries 🌧️🔧, where I was able to better understand the stakes of an official organization and the importance of team preparation 👥.
🔄 Looking back on the day:
The event featured 5 sessions... but unfortunately I had to give up each time because of engine problems. unexplained 😔. From 2ᵉ tourI was losing power and the kart was stopping, with no possibility of restarting 🚨. We tried several adjustments to the engine, but to no avail...
- Free practice 1️⃣ : P8 with engine abandonment ❌
- Free practice 2️⃣ : P3 in the opening lapsbut after giving up, I finish P7 ❌
- Qualifications (6 min) ⏱️ : P5 after a good fast lap, but loss of power on the 2ᵉ lap 🏎️💨
- Qualifying round 1️⃣ : P5 on the grid 🔥, I avoid a collision and pass P4... but again loss of power and abandonment at the 2ᵉ turn 😩
- Qualifying round 2️⃣ : P9 at the startbut give up immediately, still without understanding the cause of the problem 😓
🚀 An apprenticeship for the future!
Even if this first participation has been frustrating, it pushes us to find a solution 🔍 to avoid this kind of technical problem. I hope my next races will be more reliable on the engine side in order to show my true performance and perseverance 💪🏁 !
